From 80 to 10 servers

Software integrated in 1 system.

An international wholesale business had 80 new servers with 152 software licences and high external maintenance costs each year. This wholesale business has several warehouses in Europe and supplies to international business clients and consumers through internet shops.

By looking differently at the new system to be built we found that 70 servers were unnecessary. Our advice was to integrate almost all functions of the software that was being used, such as book keeping, ERP, CRM, CMS and third party connections, into one system. As a result most of the software licences could be ended. One system supervisor can now control the complete system. Backups are made in real-time instead of once a day. The complete system is now mirrored with a maximum accessibility.
